The World Compliance Certification Council (hereinafter WCCC), along with its officers and members, is fully committed to complying with all federal and state anti-trust laws and regulations. We strive to maintain the highest standards of ethical and legal behavior in our professional activities related to compliance.
Federal and state laws strictly prohibit competitors from exchanging information about pricing, refusals to deal, or other anti-competitive practices. The WCCC does not sanction or permit such exchanges during any meetings, conferences, seminars, or gatherings, whether professional or social. This is a critical issue, and we expect full cooperation and adherence to these standards.
The WCCC and its members will not engage in any activities that attempt to reduce competition, arbitrarily set prices, or form illegal combinations in violation of state laws.
These policies apply to all officers, boards, members, committees, and events sponsored or participated in by the WCCC. All meetings, regardless of the topic or level of member participation, will be conducted as if open to the public.
Discussions about price-fixing, price levels, and elements influencing a company's pricing or costs (including operations, supplies, labor, and services) are strictly prohibited. This includes discussions on discounts, terms of sale, profit margins, and markups.
We do not permit discussions about dividing, separating, or limiting territories, customers, or service providers, nor limiting the nature of business, products sold, or services delivered.
All forms of boycotts are strictly forbidden. This includes discussions or actions related to boycotts, blacklisting, or negative reports about any individual, company, or organization, including their financial status.
Violating anti-trust laws can result in mandatory jail sentences and fines, even for first-time offenders who are otherwise community leaders.
If any discussion or action violating anti-trust laws occurs, you should object, ensure your objection is recorded in the meeting minutes, and leave the room if the discussion continues. These prohibitions also apply to informal or social settings, not just scheduled meetings. If you observe any prohibited practices at any event or meeting, it is your responsibility to bring your concerns to a leader of the WCCC.
